Planetary Trading Posts are a rare type of station which behave similar to a planetary mining colony and sell a large array of mining goods. They are rarely found inside the gate network and are the only reliable source of gems, which are used in the industrial processes of jewelry crafting alongside the diamonds of the Trading Posts. A player CANNOT found a planetary colony themselves!

- The fact most if not all of these stations are outside of the common network might be rooted in security concerns. They mark, for all purposes, a very important resource colony. This is unlike similar colonies like habitats and biotopes, which are primarily for the people.
